The scents of pumpkin cornbread and summer spice fill the office air as we proudly announce the launch of BradfordMercantile.com, a shop specializing in wares for the colonial and primitive home. Based out of Road Island, Bradford Mercantile has a distinct customer base and needed a site that gave the same warm and cozy experience as their store. More specifically, they wanted to show photos, post events, blog, highlight artisans and sell products. Here is the result...

While the design looks simple, warm and inviting we leveraged new web technologies to add an element of sophistication to the site. Based off the ExpressionEngine CMS, we were able to manage every aspect of the site through one control panel. Customers shop in comfort knowing their information is secure using the PCI compliant FoxyCart service. HCC's FoxEE module gives Bradford Mercantile the flexibility to manage each product and create powerful custom relationships among other products and manufactures.
To recognize the heart and sole of Bradford Mercantile and the hardworking artisans who craft each product, an artisan profile section was created. The profiles give customers an additional connection with the products as they get a sneak peak into the artisan life. Not only did we map their geographical location, we added photos and direct links to their products and events.

If you're like the Flipbox Studios crew, when you find something you love you want to get involved. Well with the Bradford Mercantile events section you can. Bradford Mercantile has posted events from throughout the community to provide a resource the whole family can enjoy.
To continue the inviting feel of Bradford Mercantile, we brought you into their shop and to their events through a photo gallery. Bradford Mercantile has seasonal decor and, for those who can't make it into the shop on a regular bases, they are able to stay in tune with the new look through the website. If only we could figure out a way to spritz the smell of banana walnut cake through the speakers we'd be set.
