Google says goodbye to IE6

I was very happy to see an email from the Google Team announcing they are phasing out support to IE6 and older browsers that are no longer supported by their manufacturers.

This is a very exciting email to read for web designers / developers. It is a step in the right direction to phase out IE6, a browser that dates back to 2001. Many web developers will tell you, working with IE 6 is one of the most difficult and frustrating things to deal with on a daily basis. It is extremely time consuming and IE 6's support for modern web standards is lacking, which is restricting what developers can create and holding the web back. Yet IE6 is still estimated to be used by 15-25% of web users.
